Attuned Hearts Counseling is Moving to Richardson, Texas: A Space Designed for Connection and Healing

Attuned Hearts Counseling is Moving to Richardson, Texas: A Space Designed for Connection and Healing By: Ashley Marie Eckstein, LMFT,  ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist (EFCT) and ICEEFT endorsed EFCT Supervisor Candidate

Beginning June 29, Attuned Hearts Counseling will be welcoming clients in a new office in Richardson, Texas.

While a new address may seem like a simple business update, this move represents something much more meaningful to me. It reflects a vision I’ve been building toward for quite some time. This is a vision centered around creating an environment where couples can feel comfortable enough to do some of the most important work of their lives. This space has been designed FOR connection, THROUGH my own connection.

As an ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist (EFCT), I spend my days helping couples navigate conflict, rebuild trust, strengthen emotional connection, and create new patterns of interaction. Through EFCT, I help couples understand the deeper emotions and attachment needs that drive their conflict. Rather than simply teaching communication techniques, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy helps partners create new experiences of emotional connection and security with one another. Because this work requires vulnerability and courage, creating a space that feels safe and welcoming has always been important to me. The conversations that happen in couples therapy are often deeply vulnerable. Partners share fears, hurts, hopes, and longings that may have remained unspoken for years. Many of the couples I work with are navigating recurring conflict, emotional and sexual disconnection, trust injuries, or the unique relationship challenges that can arise when one or both partners have ADHD. Whether couples are seeking marriage counseling, relationship counseling, sex therapy, or Emotionally Focused Therapy to rebuild connection, creating an environment that feels safe and welcoming matters.

Because of that, I’ve always believed that the environment where this work takes place matters.

More Than a Change of Address

My previous office served my clients well, and I am grateful for the time I spent there. However, when the opportunity arose to move into a larger office that I could design from the ground up, I knew it was an opportunity worth pursuing.

One of the features I’m most excited about is the added privacy the new space provides.

Beginning therapy can feel intimidating. Many couples arrive feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted. Having a private waiting area creates a more comfortable and confidential experience from the moment clients arrive. My hope is that couples will feel welcomed, respected, and cared for before they ever step into the therapy room itself.

The new therapy office offers more space and beautiful natural light through large windows, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere for the work we do together.

Designing a Space with Intention

Over the past year, I’ve intentionally saved and planned for this move.

Like many business owners, I had countless decisions to make regarding furniture, décor, and design. Rather than simply furnishing an office, I wanted to design a space that reflected the values at the heart of Attuned Hearts Counseling.

Throughout the process, I kept returning to one question:

What would help my clients feel safe, comfortable, and cared for?

That question influenced every decision because I wanted the choices I made to reflect how much my clients’ comfort and experience matter to me.

From selecting a high-quality leather couch designed to comfortably accommodate couples, to choosing lighting, artwork, and furnishings that feel warm rather than clinical, every detail has been considered through the lens of client experience.

Of course, meaningful change happens because of the work couples do together in couples therapy, not because of a couch or a paint color. But I believe the physical environment can communicate something important before a single word is spoken:

You matter. Your relationship matters. And this space was created with care for both of you.

A Project Close to My Heart

One of the most meaningful aspects of this move has been the opportunity to work on it alongside my husband.

Although he has spent more than two decades serving our community in the fire service, many people are surprised to learn that he also holds a degree in interior design and worked professionally as an interior designer before beginning his career in fire service.

Together, we’ve spent months selecting furniture, planning layouts, discussing colors, evaluating lighting, and thinking carefully about how the space should feel.

What began as an office move quickly became a shared project, one that allowed us to combine our different strengths in creating something we hope will serve others well.

As a couples therapist, I spend much of my professional life helping partners move toward one another and strengthen their connection. There is something especially meaningful about building this new space through a collaborative process within my own marriage.

Looking Ahead

As excited as I am about the new office itself, what excites me most is what will happen inside it.

The conversations.

The moments of understanding.

The breakthroughs.

The tears.

The laughter.

The courage it takes to reach for one another in new ways.

At the end of the day, the office is simply the setting. The real work happens when two people decide their relationship is worth fighting for and choose to show up with honesty, vulnerability, and hope.

It is an incredible privilege to walk alongside couples during that process, and I look forward to welcoming both new and returning clients into this new space beginning June 29th.

In the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing photos and a behind-the-scenes look at the completed office, including the private waiting room, therapy space, and some of the thoughtful design elements that helped bring this vision to life.

Until then, thank you to the many clients who have trusted me with their stories over the years. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving couples throughout Richardson, Dallas, Plano, Garland, Addison, and the surrounding North Texas communities both in person and virtually.

Here’s to new beginnings, deeper connection, and creating spaces where healing can happen.

FAQs About My New Richardson Office

When are you moving to the new office?

Attuned Hearts Counseling will open the doors to clients in the new Richardson office on June 29, 2026.

Where is the new office located?

The new office is located at 1701 N. Collins Blvd Suite 220 Richardson, Texas 75080. Easily accessible from Hwy 75, the new location is convenient for couples throughout Richardson, Plano, Dallas, Garland, Addison, and the surrounding North Texas communities.

Are you still accepting new couples therapy clients?

Yes. I continue to welcome new couples seeking support for communication difficulties, emotional disconnection, recurring conflict, trust concerns, ADHD-related relationship challenges, and intimacy concerns.

Do current clients need to do anything before their next appointment?

Current clients will receive information regarding the office transition and updated directions prior to their first appointment in the new space.

Why did you decide to move offices?

The new office provides several improvements that support the client experience, including a private waiting room, a larger therapy space, increased natural light, and furnishings selected specifically to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for couples therapy.

Do you still offer Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)?

Absolutely. While the office location is changing, my approach remains the same. I continue to specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach that helps couples strengthen emotional connection and create lasting relationship change.

Why choose an ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist?

ICEEFT certification represents advanced training, supervision, and demonstrated competency in Emotionally Focused Therapy. Couples seeking EFT often look specifically for a certified therapist because certification indicates extensive training in the model beyond basic coursework.

What makes Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) different from traditional couples therapy?

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is an evidence-based approach that helps strengthen emotional connection and create lasting relationship change. This model of couples therapy doesn’t just address the symptoms, it gets to the attachment root of what causes disconnection.

Do you work with couples where one or both partners have ADHD?

Yes. Supporting couples affected by ADHD remains one of my specialty areas. I frequently help couples understand how ADHD impacts communication, emotional connection, conflict patterns, and relationship satisfaction.

Do you work with couples on sexual intimacy issues?

Yes. Helping couples improve emotional and sexual intimacy is one of my specialty areas. I frequently work with couples who feel disconnected, struggle to talk openly about sex, have differences in desire, or want to strengthen intimacy within their relationship. My goal is to create a safe environment where both partners can openly discuss their experiences and work toward a mutually satisfying intimate relationship.

Is the new office more private?

Yes. One of the features I am most excited about is the addition of a private waiting room. Many clients appreciate having a more private and comfortable experience from the moment they arrive.

What areas do you serve?

Many of the couples I work with travel from Richardson, Plano, Dallas, Garland, Addison, Frisco, McKinney, and other surrounding North Texas communities.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes! Although I love being physically with my clients in person, some couples live too far from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to make the drive, or childcare constraints may make it challenging to come in person. Virtual couples therapy sessions are available for clients when appropriate and Attuned Hearts Counseling serves clients virtually throughout the entire state of Texas.

How can I schedule a couples therapy appointment?

If you’re interested in learning more about couples therapy or scheduling an appointment, please contact Attuned Hearts Counseling through the contact form on this website or feel free to click any of the Book Now buttons and self-schedule your first session at a time that works for you. My calendar on my website shows my real-time availability up to two months out.

Can we book multiple sessions at a time?

Many of the couples I support travel for work or just have very busy schedules. I leave my calendar open up to two months out so clients can schedule all their sessions for the month (or two months) which allows them to prioritize their relationship and ensures that other commitments don’t get in the way. Booking ahead is also a great way to ensure you get the date/time you want for therapy instead of just booking a week at a time and having to take the time that is available.

If you’re looking for couples therapy in Richardson, Texas, marriage counseling in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, or support navigating sexual intimacy issues or ADHD and relationship challenges, I’d be honored to help. You can schedule your first appointment online or contact Attuned Hearts Counseling to learn more about working together.
